"Need to improve on communication and update the website"

Was meant to be a surprise birthday cake for a family member. Hence we couldnt let her know in advance.

and as she should be the only one at home and might likely step out home around the scheduled delivery timing. they said they would send back ... More the cake if no one was home. so what was a surprise birthday celebration without a cake? couldnt they leave it with the neighbours? we could discuss with the neighbours for the special arrangements. worse come to worst, the birthday lady would need to be contacted by the delivery man to rush back home for the cake delivery. Why didnt they suggest this before telling me that they would send the cake back to the shop if no one was home when delivery?

this was our 2nd choice caterer as the 1st choice was not delivering close to chinese new year. not even 3 days before chinese new year because foodline was closed during that period. they work with foodline for delivery.

the customer service lady was abit impatient. i tried to explain one of my points and she just kept on rattling and not trying to understand where i came from.

i selected chocolate happy birthday tag to come with the cake. and they told me it was not halal and could not deliver as they are halal shop. so why was it a choice from the beginning?

the selection on the web didnt allow both chocolate birthday tag and candles at the same time. so meaning i could have either one of them only? a cake with a birthday tag only or a cake with candles only? wondering was it a technical error which foodline should be looking at it or some oversight by the caterer?

i wasnt sure about the birthday ladys age.. and i couldnt confirm between the 2 years i told the lady. Common sense was to give more candles than less right so we could put the correct number of candles?

well, at least the birthday lady and family were happy with the cake after all the trouble ordering it for her. they all liked he flavour that i picked for her.
