"Great Food, Excellent Service & Superb Value!"

You can't go wrong with a caterer like Ronnie Kitchen. Their food was simply delicious and priced very reasonably. Excellent customer service - the day after I put in my order their officer called me to confirm the menu and even advised that certain ... More combinations like honey sauce pork and sweet & sour sliced fish might "clash". I should have followed their advice as these 2 dishes do taste very similar, but it was still okay in the end. They also explained that the dishes are cooled a bit before packing so that there won't be too much water vapor in the containers, which might make the food too soggy.

Fried Pineapple Rice •黄梨炒饭
Very well done but we forgot to put in the pineapple slices which were packed in a separate container. The portion was huge and we could only finish half. We had the other half (with the pineapple slices) the next day and it still tasted AWESOME. Score: 4/5

Broccoli w/ Mushroom •香菇兰花 (Chef's Recommendation)
Good ol' broc + shrooms, always a good staple at buffets. The Chinese mushrooms were huge, but so were the broccoli which could have been cut a bit smaller. Score: 3/5

Sweet & Sour Sliced Fish •酸甜鱼片
One of our favorites and it could not have been done better. Fish slices were thick and juicy. I like that the sweetness and sourness were just rightly balanced and not overpowering. Score: 4/5

Sotong Yau Tiao w/ Salad Cream •苏东油条
This would have been nice if eaten hot and fresh. By the end of it, it got a bit "lao hong" and needed a bit more chewing power. Score: 3/5

Honey Sauce Pork •排骨王 (Chef's Recommendation)
It just didn't cut it for us, probably cos it was too similar to the sweet & sour sliced fish which was more tender and juicy. The honey sauce pork was cold and tough. Could barely taste any honey. Score: 2/5

Braised Beancurd •红烧豆腐
Nothing to shout about, but nothing bad about it either. We could have done without it. Score: 2/5

Curry Chicken •咖哩鸡肉 (Chef's Recommendation)
One of the better dishes and almost perfect - the kind of curry chicken you can eat with just a bowl (or more) of white rice. The serving portion was generous and we couldn't finish although we loved it! Makes for a great post-event lunch/dinner too. Score: 5/5
