Very disappointing experience. So many issues and problems that ruined my day/event.

1. Food was set up within stipulated time but the delivery guy informed that the drinks which was part of my order was not packed for delivery by the caterer. ... More He then asked me if I could forgo the drinks. When I said no, he said he would go back to collect the drinks but that would be 1.5h to 2h later (by then my event would have been midway or almost ended already and it did not make sense). So I told him that I can't wait that long and he said he would try to go back soon to collect the drinks, but no timeframe given. No contact number given either so I couldn't reach him for follow up. It was more than an hour after my event had started, and all my guests were looking for drinks but didn't have any. Quite some time later, then the delivery guy reappeared with the drinks. By then it was quite pointless already.

2. The event ended in about 2 hours or so, and the agreed arrangement with the caterer was for the entire set-up to be collected at the 3hour mark (as per their usual practice). However, even after 3.5h, no one came. I tried to call the customer service hotline of the caterer but no answer due to not being during working hours. This was 8+pm on a Saturday since mine was a dinner event. Tried to call the number (since it was the ONLY number stated on the order form and anywhere else (even on Foodline and Facebook and the caterer's website)), and after 20-30+ tries, still couldnt get through. After waiting for 1 hour, I finally tried to reach out to the caterer on their Instagram account and the social media team finally responded but said they couldn't help much since they are a different team from the Operations team. So they gave me a number to try to contact. Called the number and someone did pick up but could not advise where the pick-up guy was and when he was going to come, except that she will try to contact him. After hanging up, waited for another 15-20min, and no update. Tried to call back but no one answered. Called a few more times and no response. Later on, she called back again and said that driver was at a location some distance away doing some pick up work too and so asked me to wait. Couldn't give me a definitive timeframe and only when I insisted that I needed to know (because I needed to handover the function room (not even the function room at my place, it was booked by the owner for me) and it was really late already by then) then she seemed to suggest that it would probably around 30-45min or so. I had to manage a young and sick toddler with me and it was already way past my toddler's bedtime, so this arrangement caused A LOT of inconvenience. I had to get the owner to wait at the function room on my behalf while I went home first and requested for the owner to help settle the entire handover to the pickup guy. However, even after waiting a long while, the guy who came wasn't appropriately equipped to pick up the set-up items - he came in a small car when one would have needed a truck to store all the set-up furniture and food trays etc. Even had to borrow a trolley from the security post to bring the things out from the function room. So that led to even more delay and inconvenience. By the time everything was picked up completely it was close to 11pm or so already (when pick up was agreed to be at 8pm!). Made our entire day EXTREMELY frustrating, exhausting and disappointing when it should have been a joyous celebratory event. No proper explanation given after this incident and no one reached out to apologise or offer any compensation till date.

3. Food was ok only. For a menu that costs a good $25 per pax, the ingredients used and food quality could be wayyyy better. But it was just so-so. Nothing extraordinarily good. Not enough tissue paper being given as well - just one small square box of thin tissue paper, not even proper serviettes, which ran out fast and I had to scramble to find tissue paper elsewhere. Did not provide serving utensils either (those big scoops or thongs).

All in all, a truly disappointing unworthwhile experience that made me wish that I could get a refund. I can't believe I even paid $80++ for delivery/set-up when all it did was to cause me inconvenience and time wastage. Have reached out to the caterer on Instagram for some explanation but nothing heard for 2 weeks already. Will NOT order from this caterer again.
